from 2005

I liked the idea of Paige arguing with herself. Unlike the other characters in this strip, Paige is a deep thinker, and could see two sides of every issue. I thought it would be fun to visually draw Paige arging with her devil’s advocate.

Comics made in 2017

I hadn’t had many ideas for Paige’s devil advocate since 2005. I came up with this idea as her conscience as someone who keeps her up at night. It’s a funny idea but not too original.

Then I decided that instead of making her conscience the source of all her anxieties and sadness, making her the voice of positivity. I used quotes of Mevlana Rumi, Alan Watts, Joseph Campbell, or other philosophers for these comics. Over time, I started to see Paige’s conscience less as an aspect of her brain and more as her soul. So I gave her conscience a name: Psyche.

PahP comics from 2021

I decided to make less PahP strips over the years. I felt I shouldn’t push ideas just to have a certain number of comics. They should be special. I would wait until I had a very good idea before I made a PahP. Until then, I would just make SaC comicstrips.
